Join us for an evening focused on our Feline Friends.
On Wednesday the 18th of May from 19:00 til 20:30, the staff at the Brentknoll practice will be hosting a Cat Friendly Client Education evening in the meeting room of our newly renovated CT department. Open to Brentknoll clients and friends we will aim to educate and discuss the wonders of our feline companions.
The evening will be divided into two sections;
"How to be 'cat friendly' during vet visits" and "How to be 'cat friendly' in the home".
The presentation will be lead by one of Brentknoll's cat advocates, Hayley Oates RVN.
Hayley is currently completing the ISFM certificate in Feline Nursing and she has a real passion for cat welfare and nursing. The Certificate is for qualified nurses with a particular interest in cats and is completed over a 1 year period. The course aims to cover feline health and behaviour and provide a broad knowledge of the species.
Also in attendance will be Vet Isobel McBurney who will be happy to answer questions about feline behaviour and topics covered during the evening at the end of the session.
Our guest speaker Lucy Lowe is a representative from Purina. Purina are proud supporters of the Cat Friendly clinic scheme and help practices improve to reach the high standards required. Lucy will be giving a short presentation on the Purina Proplan diets and speaking to attendees about appropriate feline diets.
We'll be serving drinks and nibbles throughout the evening and all attendees will be given a cat friendly goodie bag including a 1.5kg Proplan Feline bag of food (kindly provided by Purina), information leaflets from the ISFM, vouchers off cat products and more...
