December is always a fun time of year as the staff get to choose their favourite from the past 12 months and spoil them with a new toy in time for Christmas
This year has been a very busy one at the practice and we've been lucky enough to meet and take care of so many wonderful pets during the year. It's a really tough decision for the staff to choose only one!
We choose pets for bravery like Luna the Labrador puppy. Luna was hit by a car at just 3 months old but she has been such a brave and happy little girl during her recovery and we're pleased to say she is well on the mend.
We also choose pets that have made brilliant progress with their weight loss like Elliot the cat, who has been working closely with Naomi the nurse this year and has gone from 7.6kg to a much healthier 6kg (that's around 20% of his body weight!)
Little Ettie the 9 year old Terrier, was chosen by Jo from our client care team. Ettie has undergone major spinal surgery this year and her recovery has meant that she has been in and out to us frequently; during this time Jo fell in love with her and they've become great friends.
Vets really have a tough job choosing from our patients as they have so many great animals to choose from but sometimes they just fall in love. Vet Erika treated Mitch this year and she couldn't resist his charms, he won her vote and was spoilt with a new tug toy which they had great fun with in reception.
Another pet who 'made a splash' is Briann the English Bull Terrier, who won the heart of Wendy from the Client Care Team. Briann is a regular swimmer at the practice and her typical bullie ways have won Wendy's heart.
The lucky pets this year are;
Luna Dalley | River Glasson |
Buglie Nixon | Fenric Boutbee |
Flossy Membrey | Dobby Abolgashmi-Malekabadi |
Alfie Harris | Jack Jones |
Mitch Dean | Murphy Blanchard |
Angel Williams | Reggie Cowling |
Theo Cull | Mackenzie Griffin |
Lenny Brace | Ettie Williams |
Elliot Smith | Honey Murdock |
Ned Norris | Monty Wiggins |
If your pet wasn't chosen, it doesn't mean we don't love them; there are simply too many lovely pets to choose from. We'd like to thank all of our wonderful clients for trusting us to care for your amazing pets this year and we look forward to seeing you all throughout 2017.
