Simona Mihai
Veterinary Surgeon
I’m Simona Mihai, and I graduated in 2015 from the University of Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Even as a child, I fell in love with animals and started caring for the cats and dogs crossing my path in my hometown in the south of Romania.
As a student, I had the opportunity to enrol in the Erasmus program in Warsaw, which gave me the impulse to speak and learn English more and cultivated the idea of working abroad as a vet.
As a vet, I started practising in Germany and Romania. I recently moved from North Wales to Worcester, and now I plan to stay at Brentknol Veterinary Center and develop an area of expertise in ophthalmology.
In the last 5 years, I rescued over 20 cats, placed them in trustworthy foster homes, and adopted 4. Bucsy is the love of my life, and the other 3 stray cats, Rozi, Gaspar and Alba, got to be my adoptive family. I enjoy every free time I get with them, and my husband and I plan to adopt a dog as soon as we settle in our own house in the countryside of lovely Worcestershire.
I am happy that I found a great work environment with a dedicated and professional team and lots of equipment to help solve the cases, giving the fuzzy ones a chance to live more and healthier.
