Rabbits are amazing animals and this means that they are still a very popular pet for both adults and children to have. They are fascinating animals but are quite often misunderstood, we have tried to answer some of the most common misconceptions below….
When the summer months begin, the days are longer and the temperature is hotter we all need to make sure that our little ones are as safe as possible from the danger of heatstroke.
Heatstroke is a form of nonpyrogenic hyperthermia which is a high temperature that hasn’t been caused by a fever. As in humans heatstroke occurs when the body is no longer able to regulate and keep its temperature at a safe, comfortable level.
Just like us our pets can have skin allergies and when they are exposed to certain everyday substances they may begin to show symptoms. When an allergy occurs a cycle of itching and scratching is triggered when their immune system identifies the allergens as dangerous.
Rabbit Awareness Month.
We are joining in with national Rabbit Awareness Week, however we feel our little furry friends don’t always get the attention they deserve so we a carrying our Rabbit Awareness on throughout the whole of June.
Keeping the Easter bunny away from your pets.
It’s that time of year again when the Easter eggs are out in the shops and Easter egg hunts are all ready to go. However we want to make sure that your pets can have as much enjoyment as everyone by helping you keep them away from toxins and poisons which can be heightened at this time of year. We have made a list of foods, household hazards and outdoor poisons to help you spot potential hazards early.
Visiting the vets comes with the territory when owning a pet, however we know that some pets really hate coming in and they feel nervous or frightened. We know it can take work to help your little ones feel at ease when they come in, with that in mind we have jotted down some tips and tricks they may help your little one feel a bit more settled with us.
Looking after your pet’s pearly whites is extremely important, which is why we’re launching a dental health awareness campaign to provide help, advice and treatment along with some great offers.
