Keep your pets safe this Halloween with some of our useful tips:
Finding injured wildlife can understandably become quite the dilemma. How do I know it’s injured? Will it be ok? Where do I take it? I don’t want to put myself at risk. We know that coming across an injured wild animal can present a few questions, so we have tried to share some simple and useful tips for if you ever come across one. Please DO NOT ever put yourself or someone else in a risky situation, always assess the risk and if it is too risky DO NOT attempt anything, there are animal professionals for this.
The most common type of worm affecting our pets is intestinal worms, which as the name suggests live in the pets gastric system.

While most of us will be enjoying this beautiful, record breaking warm weather our pets may not be feeling quite the same.
For staff working within the veterinary industry, it can be hard to hear accusations of money grabbing vets, over priced treatment and staff not caring about the animals. Vets and nurses dedicate years of their life training and generally everyone in the industry loves animals (that's why we chose this career path). Within all industries, you may come across someone who is an exception to the rule; there are good and bad teachers, builders, hairdressers etc so if you do find a 'bad vet,' please don't tar us all with the same brush.
Pet insurance companies love to use terms that can make it seem like a minefield, their policies are filled with enough jargon to put anyone off reading the small print (often how people get caught out). If your pet becomes sick or gets injured, the last thing on your mind should be money, so lets help you choose the right policy for you and your pet.
