It's a brand new year and what better time to turn over a new leaf with your Pets

Obesity is a growing problem with pets in the UK and the numbers of overweight pets visiting veterinary practices shows no sign of slowing down. That is, unless us pet owners take a stand and work to give our pets a healthier, happier life.

The Brentknoll team celebrated another busy year at the practice by letting their hair down from the surgical caps and getting glam without the theatre gowns.

December is always a fun time of year as the staff get to choose their favourite from the past 12 months and spoil them with a new toy in time for Christmas

This year has been a very busy one at the practice and we've been lucky enough to meet and take care of so many wonderful pets during the year. It's a really tough decision for the staff to choose only one!

Every client coming into the practice will have no doubt seen or spoken to one of our veterinary nurses... but who are they and what do they do?

The veterinary industry is sadly lingering a little behind human medicine when it comes to titles and job roles. In order to call yourself a nurse in the NHS you must hold the relevant qualifications, sadly within the veterinary industry anyone can call themselves a veterinary nurse because the title isn't protected.

It's a difficult time to think about anything, but most pet owners will be faced with a decision to make at the end of their pets life 

Home burial

Remember remember the 5th of November.... and in fact most of October and November!

Fireworks are no longer a once a year occurrence, much to the dismay of our nervous pets at home. The popularity of fireworks has seen more and more people holding their own displays at home in their gardens and the close proximity can be a nightmare for animals living nearby.

Labradors are known for their love of the water and this is true for gorgeous Jack, but this water baby unfortunately found himself in hot water one day whilst enjoying his usual splash.
